Your mod list really helped me alot I tried modding Skyrim myself in the beginning of the year and I got somewhere on my 3rd attempt but eldergleam really helped me simplifying that experience I’m currently playing V3 and loving it , added about 300 extra mods, mostly armours and slight UI changes. Might hold off on v4 and just wait for ultimate.

A A month a,go I downloaded Eldergleam 3 for the first time. I had played Skyrim mods in the past, but never started with a mod pack to build off of. Since then, I downloaded Eldergleam 3 and added over 800 mods to the modlist, bringing my current modlist to over 2100 mods. Now I find out there is a new version of ElderGleam??? XD, guess I am gonna have to start over now lol.

You had me up until ENB came in. I’ve completely moved on from that to Community Shaders and haven’t looked back. Though building a remaster-style graphical overhaul with as many PBR textures as possible has certainly been a challenge as not everything has been covered yet.

Brilliant work CaptPanda. The new version looks fantastic and with the options provided I am sure players will enjoy its customization.
For me I have moved to v1.6.1170 as I want to use newer mods and not use ‘Best of both’ as I’m tired of chasing down bugs and conflicts. I’m no coder so this is hobby time and I would eventually like to play the game. I know – crazy 🙂
That’s why what you have done here is so great. It takes the pain out of modding and allows people to play. Thanks to you and all your team.

I also installed Skyrim in 2025 but manually, it takes +- 1 month of mix and match textures. I also learned few things like complex material and how to set them up, also dyndolod! I don’t know how many gigabytes have i created and deleted just small perfection.

I don’t know if I’ll get an answer or not, but I’ll ask anyway. What perk overhaul do you use? And what religion mod do you use?

Personally, I prefer ordinator and wintersun. So if it’s not those, can I change it without breaking the mod list?

Man please make a performance friendly version of Elder gleam with lower textures like 2k..Nordic souls has good performance for lower end setups like mine..

And please make dedicated tutorial videos of how can we modify and add things to this list…. Including famous quest mods, Landscapes, houses, Gameplay changes, followers etc etc..

@CaptPanda, you don’t have to pick entirely different, lower resolution, textures for a performance version. Just add VRAMr after all the other texture replacers. That’s what I did on my laptop.

im actually surprised the visual only version doesnt have the ui changes, I feel like the ui would be part of the visuals, and yes cabbage-enb is heavy my fps goes from 60 to 40 with it enabled i’d say Pi-cho is very close or more demanding than it though
