I’d ask what you expected to happen, but knowing Skyrim, even I expected the guy to sit up and start talking, or the wagon to just start moving anyway.

Most of these guys died in my playthroughs because of Vampires.
I was doing some quests and forgot that I
A. Had the Cursed ring of Hircine on
And
B. Am a werewolf.
I turned into a werewolf outside of Solitude, and the carriage guy **jumped down from the carriage* to kill me
Only way to fight fire is with fire
it’s so funny that they let you sit there and think about what you did
THEY DIE?
The Skyrim mail delivery service, doesn’t use carriages, so it will still function with the courier that finds you.
