(A different player dropped some boots and one of the beggars picked it up. No fighting, phew.)

Honestly is one of my favorite things in Skyrim when you befriend the entire town and the whole town will fight on your behalf against the guards.

This is why I got that “run for your lives” mod, that has everyone basically run away and go into their homes or taverns & stuff when a dragon comes. No one dies except the guards, and they get replaced right quick anyway 😂

I didn’t even know they did that in riften

So I believe the townspeople that were killed were actually fighting FOR you because you were attacked by the imperials even though you accidentally started it.

Assuming you had done the quests for the 2 dark elves they would have had a good disposition towards you and you were likely completely neutral with the imperials so it only took one offense for them to turn against you.

The townspeople then tried to defend you with their lives.

Thank god they don’t fight over the dead thieves booty because there be 1-3 thieves a night getting arrowed down. Nobody would be left

I have played Skrim for an absurd amount of hours. I had no idea NPC’s would fight over stuff you drop. Could be because I am an in-game hoarder.

This is what calm and pacify are for. Harmony works too

I have definitely not caught up but this short is hilarous. And it makes sense now. A while back when I played I watched 2 townspeople fight each other but wasn’t sure why. Now I get it.
