My favorite craftable “metal” in fiction. Ebony is essentially the fantasy version of mythological adamantine which is essentially black diamond and was used to create the Titan Kronos’s crescent blade/sickle he used to defeat (cut the gentiles) from his primordial father Ouranus/Uranus and Perseus to cut off Medusa’s head. Ebony/adamantine is literally the metal of gods.

Jokes aside I think this actually correct. If you think about daedric armor, what’s needed to make them? Ebony and a daedra heart, in other words daedric armor is made by combining a daedra heart to the Ebony ingot, in theory: melting the crystal blood back into a liquid form, adding the heart to revitalize its daedric properties then casting the billet to forge the plates. In short, daedric armor is just Ebony armor, which is made from unsaturated and crystallized daedric blood, that is then re-saturated with the energies of Oblivion by adding a daedric heart, therefore strengthening it.

Best Looking Armor In Skyrim

Tbh I think this is pure Dunmeri BS to inflate their egos, because there are Ebony raw ore deposits in 4th Era Skyrim after the Heart was destroyed. Are those related to Lorkhan too? Are they droplets that fell from the Heart as it was flying through the skies?

Ebony, like most the armors in skyrim, looks way worse in this game than it did in the older games. Specifically the morrowinf ebony.
