I actually found this on my own in my first play through, I’ve always had this thing where I wanna climb the rigging and the bow sprit of all the sailboats I see in games high as I can, far out as I can. That sword heavily reinforced this XDDD

Windshear’s normally glitched to stagger on every single hit without fail no matter what. It has an enchantment bar but it never drains. It has relatively low damage and can’t be enchanted but it doesn’t need to be. It’s an insta win, I can use windshear at level 1 with no armor on and solo Miraak, Alduin, and Harkonn

I’ve been playing skyrim since day goddamn one and why has no one ever mentioned this damn weapon?

Honestly the Dark Brotherhood questline has some of the most OP rewards in the entire game. You have gloves that double sneak damage & boots that make you silent from basically the start of it. You can get an undying demon horse. You get a free base that’s better than any house in Skyrim, and you can hire the strongest follower available after you complete the storyline. It’s almost a necessity for any playthrough to join them.

Yeah, unless you get the bug where it doesn’t spawn in the right location and you have to spend an hour swimming under the ship within a aregonian or breathe underwater, spell or enchantment looking for it

Its actually a glitched enchantment. Its supposed to have a chance to paralyze on bash but it also has a 100% chance to stagger on every swing

Vauldirs lucky daggeris a good pair with this weapon too it has a critical chance enchantment on it, so is mehrunes razor, or you could dual wield it with a stalhrim sword they do frost damage and and a chance to paralyze the enemy

In the vanilla game it just looks like a normal scimitar unfortunately. It’s easily the most op weapon in the game. I actually had to stop using it after I beat the frost giant boss from the Dragonborn dlc. That stagger effect is so strong it feels like you’re breaking the game.

Walking down that bowsprit does not take skill bruh it is a straight line. Windshear is cool though, still I wish it were a bit more balanced.

I had dual wield winshears each putting out around 120 damage on my playthrough
If your wondering how, there is a duplication glitch at white run you need to do to get the second windshear(this is the tough part as this weapon really doesn’t want to be duplicated…for some reason.
Then what you do is a multiple armour/jewelry sets glitch, I believe ESO has the best video on this but I don’t think he mentions that everything you wear can be enchanted, basically you need to get the steed stone or you’ll be overincumbered(depending on how far you go) you will need a follower you can dump all your extra sets of armor onto and go to falkreath prison, go into the certain cell you would be thrown into and tell your follower to wait in or nearby the cell, then break the law, easiest way of doing this would be to go upstairs and hit a guard until he talks to you or just steel a piece of food right in front of them.
Now what happens is your thrown in jail and your equipped armor and jewellery is stripped off you and so you put a full set on, break out and break the law again, your stripped again and then dress break out, you get it.. basically every time you break the law and have your clothes stripped it stacks the armor that will be automatically put back on you when you eventually COMPLETE your sentence, so for example I did it for idk… a day or two until I was probably wearing 200 sets of armour and 150-200 rings, I enchanted a lot of them with one handed enchantments and a lot of em for bows ebony bows do like 600 damage or so, dragon bone is like 700 or something, you can also use it to expand your inventory a shit ton. I ended up having a max capacity of like 1100 from enchanted boots alone.
10/10 highly recommend

In all the years and countless times beating and playing this game, this is the first time I’ve ever heard of this weapon 😳

Honestly as someone who was big in enchantments in Skyrim, I’d want to know if the blade’s effect could be stripped from its original blade and applied to a much faster weapon like a dagger, because the effect it has just needs a faster weapon so that there’s less time in between strikes to recuperate. Get good in destruction magic and you could quite possibly pelt your enemies with fir, ice or electricity as you continue to stagger tf out of them 😂

I got this immediately when playing the quest I was trying to do like some assassin creed type type thing and then I seen a prompt for interact and I didn’t even know what I picked up so I reloaded the last save and went there again read the name and found it in my inventory and I didn’t get it on Xbox 1 but it was really broken on the 360 to the point every hit was a stager

Kinda similar to exploit with spamming two handed destruction spells with the knock back perk. I essentially stun lock them whittling their health down while keeping my mana from running out. Of course like the sneaking archer it was rather tedious taking more time. Also vulnerable to large groups you can’t funnel into single file or jump onto something they can’t path onto.

Dual wield this with Dagon’s dagger and you instantly play in easy mode

I always thought about a really funny combo with this and Menunges Dagon dagger, with the shout that make you attack much faster (now I don’t remember the name sorry). So you can hit the enemy 20 times before they stand up again (also having to struggle with the sword that prone them)

Dawn blade is equally as busted, just don’t play on full party damage though, the exploding under will definately kill the dragonbored

I get why you do this, but when talking about stuff that’s strictly base game, you should use the base model. Some people might get confused seeing that model, doing everything, then just seeing what appears to be a default Scimitar.

You can tell them about mods that add cool models, after. Idk which you’re using, but one of my favorites is unique uniques, which also adds a lot of other unique models for other weapons that just use the models of other swords.

Honestly, the “best weapon in the game” is the one you make yourself. My legendary Dragonbone longswords, one with fire and ice the other with fire and shock outclass any and all stock in game weapons. On legendary difficulty, I’m 2 or 3 shoting even legendary dragons.

Any weapon in the game can become the best weapon with a strong enough blacksmithing potion. This is an impressive sword though, I never knew a sword was stashed there.

Windshear is one of the strongest as long as you can take your time on a single enemy, otherwise you can’t really use it’s ability to it’s full potential

Game tip: take two non-enchanted swords ( I prefer 2 katanas) get elemental fury, and before a fight use stuff to increase your max stamina and stamina regen and u will be unstoppable

I have an orc in heavy armor with max smithing and enchanting. Between all the enchantments, berserker rage, and a bunch of potions and spells, a dragonbone war hammer can’t really be beat. I beat down the caller in 2 hits on max difficulty.

This was the most broken sword in the game I remember one I found it I never needed to use anything else

I’ve been playing Skyrim for 10 years and I never knew about this

as broken as the sword is. I prefer my Stalhrim sword with Chaos and absorb HP.

It can stagger dragons as well

On my playthrough I paired windshear with the mace of Molag Bal.

“Hey Kid, wanna join our eldritch murder cult?”

“You can get Windshear!”
“… I’m gonna need a minute…”

Skill in Skyrim?

He neglected to mention that due to a quirk of the effect, Windshear staggers on every standard hit. Rendering every enemy in the game defenceless in a 1v1 as they are automatically stunlocked with no cost or effort whatsoever.

Damn… I’m glad this was randomly pushed out to me, gonna be using this one in my next play-through!

Just master smithing, enchanting, magic (destruction) and alchemy…then every weapon becomes a one-shot weapon against any enemy (including the ebony warrior. Yes, I one-shot him, too.)

Probably the best weapon in the game however you won’t gain as much XP in heavy/light armor from fights.
The real best weapon in the game is whatever you use the fortify restoration exploit to upgrade to 7000 damage

I played about an hour with this sword and then hung it up. It’s too OP.

There’s actually a legendary weapon in fallout 4 exactly like this but it’s constant it’s called the ripper and it has this legendary effect where it staggers and it has a very fast attack speed so you can basically just sit there and attack them till they die

Unbelievably powerful effect yeah. It may not do ridiculous damage but you don’t need to if the enemy can’t get a hit in. Reminds me of that unique ripper in Fallout 4 that had a chance to stagger, but it hit so fast that it could stun lock basically anything

I always clone this weapon. Keep one spare unupgraded while I dual wield the other 2. Ridiculous overpowered.

I use used this and that dagger with 3 pieces to instakill everything
