the effect of the diadem is leveled, a max level character I think is like 22% less. it shouldn’t of been because this becomes a useless item unless your level 80 or something and by then you’ve done all the questlines

Dude, I only recently figured out the computers. It was about 4 months ago. Honestly. I was just shocked after realizing it wasn’t just pure luck.

I have no recollection of ever going through that maze. I’m almost certain I’ve had to since the mages guild questline sends you to laberynthian for the staff of magnus and I remember a note or book that had a picture of it. But it’s so unmemorable that I don’t recognize it beyond general location and design.

Facts at first I didn’t know what to do with the hacking in fallout. I just guessed and prayed for less then 5 attempts or reloads lol 😅

My favorite part of this quest is how the Diadem is classified as Light Armor meaning I can have the +25% Light Armor bonus WITHOUT having to cover up Khajiit ears (or Argonian horns) in the process.

Wait really? Hacking in fallout is easy. For those who still don’t know it’s basically a wordle game. You select a word, and it tells you how many letters are correct (they have to be in the right spot to be considered correct) and you use that as a clue to figure out what word actually unlocks the computer.

Totally agree about the lame reward. I found the same crown sitting on top of a random wood chopping block next to Froki’s shack at level 3. The thing respawns there too.

With a strong enough fortify restoration potion that 5% reduction becomes greater than 100% for all spells, until you unequip it. This means that you don’t have to waste time grinding your enchanting skill to 100 to get the a similar effect for only 2 schools of magic.

I love the hacking in fallout, I never knew how until I watched a dude explain it and I absolutely love hacking its so much fun

It is a Labyrinth not a maze. Mazes have multiple paths and are confusing. Labyrinths just have one path.

That’s how it is with so many stories and arcs. “That was it?” So many anticlimactic payoffs or abrupt endings when it seems like it’s just gaining momentum. The Saadia story just stops. What happens? Will we find out the answer to the mystery when ES6 releases in 2093? Who knows? But waiting decades to answer the simple he said/she said is bad storytelling. The civil war storyline also seems abrupt. Not only that, but it seems dangling and left open, as if no one really knows the war ended, saying things like “Can’t wait to kill another (rebel/imperial).” One of the biggest and underrated “that’s it?s” is defeating Alduin. You just kind of return. People act like nothing happened. Dumb ass guards still saying, “I can’t believe Helgen was attacked!” Or “Dude, why did you capture a dragon and then release it? I dOn’T GEt iT!” Well, dumb ass, certainly you can figure out that by doing so I was able to be taken to Alduin’s portal, which lead me to destroy Alduin? In Winterhold you find the missing woman for the drunk. Seems like a fun story, but then just “meh, found her, you might not like where.” Skyrim is already addictive enough. It doesn’t need multiple fetch quests to keep players engaged. But one of the several fetch quests is for the stones of the Berenziah crown. Then you have to fetch the crown. Then nothing happens. Seriously, screw those stones. And screw those damn nirnroots. They make a noise, and you have to find them. Just like in other elder scroll games. Member those? Member nirnroots? The fuck cares! You can collect 🦋 🐝 in 🫙! Collect them all! And then..have them, I don’t know. But that’s also it!

I’ll be honest, as many years as I’ve been playing this game, I still don’t know what I’m doing with Shalidor’s maze. I just run around killing stuff and opening and closing the shutters until I get to the battle for the Diadem, and then I leave and never return until the next playthrough.
