The Dovahkiin is probably nearsighted and doesn’t know what’s going on if it’s more then 5 ft away from him in lore
Probably everyone is Skyrim is extremely nearsighted which would explain why you can practically sneak past some in their field of view

I think this is that only anniversary edition area I didn’t like. You can tell they attempted to make all of the ad ons complex or with bosses with a little too much hit damage, but this dwemer dungeon was way too dizzying and convoluted, even for a dwemer ruin. At least for me. Some might like the delving it allows, though.
