This was my exact reaction when I first found it after playing for 7+ years. Like the only place in Skyrim I haven’t been. Even been in the secret dev rooms you can only get to with 30 min on no clip walking before I climbed to the perch of dragonsreach.

the pillar directly to the left of the door on the interior has no collision and you can just fall through the floor if you walk into it

Yeah I discovered that area when I started to try and climb to the top of dragonsreach like the very top and I started from the very bottom and then spent two hours discovering that area and the found out that there was a door there the whole time so I then started again from there and about 2 hours later of finding new places to jump on to and using the physics in the game to my advantage I finally was able to climb to very top where the roof is

You know you’ve played a metric ton of Skyrim when you don’t jump at your follower appearing from around a corner from the Aetherium.

Perfect for snipping people.

Good to know I wasn’t alone in trying to jump off the moment I got there

I found this spot for the first time on my current playthrough. There are some really breathtaking spots in Skyrim.

Dude, there should be a tier list of Jarl Bedrooms ranked as each Jarl has their own bedroom and balcony!
Like I went goofing off in Riften’s Castle and found Maven Black-Briar (or Lailia Law-Giver’s) bedroom and DAMN WAS IT FANCY! Along with Balgruff’s!

Imagine it’s like those pigeon spikes you see on buildings near beaches and piers those are meant to keep dragons from landing on them also the slanted roof

Wait, if the spikes are supposed to represent plates on a dragon’s back, are the roof tiles trianglar instead of rectangular to represent dragon scales? Does that mean that the entire slants of the roof is supposed to look like a dragon’s wings?

Found this on my first playthrough in 2012. Totally forgot about it for 11 years until this video. Nothing will ever beat the first time I played skyrim. Exploring all the locations. Still my favourite game of all time, but now everything is so predictable. Seeing other people discover locations they’ve never been to makes me happy

I did this once as a kid and was confused to why there was a balcony

I found out about this the first time playing the VR PS4 version, it was pretty neat.
