Obsidian with Natural ENB preset works best for me. The difference between NAT and other ENB-s is that NAT makes the weather look colder, appropriate for Skyrim.

I also use Realistic lighting. Enhanced lighting doesn’t work that way for me. Too dark at places I can’t see anything.

Lets say i did want to use some cc content from the free skyrim upgrade while still on 1.5 via the downgrade patcher “best of both worlds”, will it mess up anything? I have a lot of experience with making a mod list since 2019 so im sure i can figure out any bugs and crashes. Your modlist is great for what i need to build off of because unfortunately i lost my last modlist because of a stupid mistake i made with updating the “modding essentials” wabbajack modlist i built off of which deleted all my mods and modlist order, i lost hundreds of hours spent cherry picking mods to add and fixing things to work. I thank you greatly for your dedication on making a good base for me to start modding again since i had quit because of that terrible mistake.

Its insane how modders being able to increase graphics of an old game by 10 years or even more. Skyrim 2024 looks on par graphically with all new AAA releases. I loved original release of 2011 Skyrim, played it for 700 hours or so, but this…….. this is just fucking insane.

Can I suggest adding Seasons to upcoming Ultimate? It really was mod of the century by tech implementation, but I see that after all this time, it didn’t get enough traction, and there’s close to none lists that are using it. It really adds to immersion for longer Skyrim playtroughs.

Ngl, all the massive overhaul modlists arent my speed because I’ve been creating my own load orders for years and they never have that ‘just right’ feel and I end up breaking them or over taxing the engine by modifying them using my design philosophy, which is unfortunately just as grandiose as most of these list curators. So unfortunately I end up spending a few weeks modding a 1,000 plugin load order because I always do clean installs before starting a new load order. This honestly looks like the perfect base to build a new losd order off of. It has all the trappings that I usually install, but you’ve done what I’ve been to lazy to do and created an easily accessible template that can be installed in a few hours.

Im definitely down for this modlist. Im looking for something as a base to build off of and what im looking for is a graphic overhaul. Im not big on giant modlists like Nolvus and Vagabond. Need info on any ini changes though.

I really do like the approach you are taking with this list, giving us so many options, and making the list easy to change. The basic visuals look really nice. And I’m really glad to see a list that gives the option of using Community Shaders instead of enb! Even with a very good graphic card I gain so many fps with CS, and this opens the door for using even more mods in my list.
The urge to start using this list is getting stronger and stronger – – – especially when you state on the Nexus page that the list has its own “game stock folder”, meaning that I could also have another list alongside this one.
I’m very curious to see what “Evergleam Ultimate” will contain!

This is looking great. I’m currently setting up my own modlist but I just keep running into things I’m not 100% happy with visually and it makes me want to at least try a complete modlist like this one. In particular I’ve also been wanting to rip out Majestic Mountains and use ERM, but having to remember all the mods I installed that had specific consistency fixes for MM so I can reinstall them… it’s a big pain.

Gotta ask, what happens if I try to install without a Nexus Premium account? Will Wabbajack prompt me to install every single mod one by one, or will it just not work? Also, I know this is a pain in the ass due to grass cache and lods, but is there an option with vanilla-like tundra colors? I know Fantasia Landscapes and Skoglendi both have versions that support that.

What is with people and ruining Whiterun. It’s a tundra, and more specifically its based on Rohan from LotR, neither of which are fertile green pastures.
