Just discovered Eldergleam this month and really impressed as a tweaked vanilla experience. Only 2 things so far thats a bit awkward is mining as the head is tilted way to far down while from start to finish and also in combat feels like the fov is a bit out. Thanks for the great work. I have a small list of mods that i added which i would highly recommend adding into that pack for basic QOL. 1. Unread books glow 2. Fullscreen Book and Item zoom 3. Quest Tags 4. Audiobooks of Skyrim 5. Mark Books as Read 6. Wheeler. (These dont change the vanilla feel just adds to Eldergleam visual and QOL focus)

I never like that guy his voice overhaul mods. They always just artificially deepen the voice and add reverb, which just doesn’t sound good to me.

I’m not a Vyrthur fan but damn that voice mod is cool

Vanilla Vyrthur sounds better tbh. The modded voice sounds too low and deep for his character.

Arch-Curate also being the VA for Codsworth also makes me feel like I’m being shouted at by a human Codsworth

The walls being built up for Riverwood is such a great touch! I like the idea of walled settlements, but I also don’t like drastically changing vanilla locations, I hope we will see more mods with this style of immersive implementation. Thanks for the video!

In Skyrim LE (which I still play since my laptop can’t handle SE+), Vyrthurs’s voice is just Belethor’s without ANY tweaks 😂😂😂

Curious how to upgrade to 3.1 when it comes it. Is it an ‘add on’ install from Wabbajack or a complete redownload and install? Are save games broken after upgrade to 3.1?

One thing I will say about the Hircine and Periyite voices is that they are too ‘modern’ in that they don’t fully pronounce every word. That makes the vanilla ones feel like something older is talking to you. Obviously, this isn’t really useful to you as you didn’t make these mods but I thought I’d share what exactly puts me off mods like those. The Arch Curate one was amazing though, they knocked it out the park with that one!

Heh, while I don’t use any audio mods, I do use a lot of visual overhauls (to the point where I broke my landscapes again /sigh) and I keep forgetting what vanilla Skyrim looks like.. there have been a few streamers lately playing mostly vanilla and it’s weird to see, so I can’t blame you at all on those little mistakes of forgetting lol. I love your showcases, thanks so much for your time and effort in doing them! I bet it’s a lot of work!

I love mods that develop over time, so Riverwood building wooden palisades and getting buidlings based on heightened military activity makes sense, rather then just dropping it in at the start and being out of sync with dialogue and story. Great stuff and I hope we get more that are like that.

There is a small mod named “Dragon Wall Wisdom – Readable Dragon Walls” that adds a nice touch of immersion, it makes it possible to read the text on the dragon’s walls without having to go to the wiki to find out what each word wall says, it adds a nice flavor to the lore of each tomb. 🙂
